WNB+A was selected by the New York City Economic Development Corporation from a short list of New York's top architectural firms to design the new West Midtown Intermodal Ferry Terminal on Pier 79 located at West 39th Street. This new terminal will be a municipally-owned multi-user facility, providing ferry service including short haul commuters, water taxis, and high-speed long distance services from Midtown Manhattan to points along the Hudson River. Plans call for a new state-of-the-art Terminal as well as six new boat slips. The project is planned to be part of the larger Hudson River Park development.

WNB+A has designed numerous cargo and distribution centers for various airline and consumer based clients. These complex structures have advanced technological needs, of which WNB+A is eminently qualified. A prime example of this special building type is the JC Penny distribution in Manchester, CT. The 2 million square foot distribution center in houses state-of-the-art automated sorting and storage devices, conveyor systems, a railroad siding and a major computer center. With the immense scale of this project, special attention was given to all employee areas to create a warm, comfortable environment, as well as special considerations to control climate and humidity in storage areas, and computer data centers.

WNB+A has designed and constructed a considerable number of housing units for the NYS Urban Development Corporation. The goal was to provide middle to low income housing, and housing for the elderly. WNB+A designed housing complexes in Brooklyn, NY, Painted Post, NY and Oneonta, NY. The housing complexes created a stable, comfortable neighborhood environment. Through careful planning and creative design WNB+A was able to achieve outstanding functional design quality normally not found in this building type.
